Glebe

Glebe, City of Sydney.

I walked through Jubilee Park, Blackwattle Bay Park, Forsyth Street and Glebe Point Road.

Glebe is an Inner Western suburb of Sydney (located 3 km south-west of the Sydney CBD and is part of the local government of the City of Sydney).

Postcode: 2037
Population: 13767

3 facts about Glebe:

1. Glebe's name is derived from the fact that the land on which it was developed was a glebe, originally owned by the Anglican Church.

2. The Anzac Bridge was opened on 3 December 1995. The bridge increased the capacity of the road network connecting the city and the western suburbs.

3. Sir Edmund Barcton (the first Prime Minister of Australia) was born in Glebe.
